What is the difference between a BOL and a BBL course?
Here you can read more about the vocational training pathway (BOL) and the work-based learning pathway (BBL)
BOL (learning at school)
If you choose a full-time program, you'll attend classes at school a few days a week and also complete an internship. Because you'll do a lot of internships, you can explore different aspects of the program. We're increasingly collaborating with work-study companies. They might give guest lectures at school, or you might work on an assignment for them. In some programs, you'll take part of your classes at the company. So, the connection between school and practice is becoming increasingly stronger. Group teaching also remains important, and the instructors are there to share knowledge and coach you.

BBL (work and learn)
You choose a BBL program if you want to start working and also want to attend school one or two evenings a week. With BBL programs, you'll receive a salary based on the number of days you work. You'll also attend classes at school with your teachers. If you're a bit older and already have work experience, you can also take a BBL program that's more tailored to your needs. The student
At mboRijnland, we take your needs and wishes into account as much as possible. That's why we'd love to hear your personal wishes and needs. This means you can indicate whether you want to accelerate or slow down your studies. There's also room to develop your own passions and talents (broaden), choose individual modules (subjects), and explore which electives (deepen) suit you. We expect our students to be proactive and to attend classes. Explore for yourself what you'd like to develop. And if something isn't going as you'd hoped, or if you need help with something, please contact your study career counselor (slb'er) or the Guidance & Support for Study Success (BOSS).
You will receive personalized education with us
But what is personalized education? It means you can tailor the learning path that's available to you to your personal circumstances, talents, and ambitions. Together with your study advisor, you'll explore what's possible for you. If you've already completed another program, you might be able to accelerate your studies. It's also possible to broaden or deepen your program by taking additional electives or additional internships.
