What is BOL?
Vocational Training (BOL) is a daytime program where you attend school all week. During the program, you gain practical experience by doing an internship at an accredited training company. This internship is also called practical training (BPV). The frequency of internships varies by program. However, there is a requirement that at least 20% of the BOL program must consist of an internship. This regulation makes the BOL program very practice-oriented.
What is BBL?
With a work-based learning pathway (BBL), you choose a program that combines work and study. During this program, you'll work 60 to 80% of your studies. For most BBL programs, this usually means you'll attend school one day a week and work at your training company the rest of the week. Some programs may involve a few weeks of classes followed by a few months of work at your training company.
The vocational training program provides you with extensive practical experience and often earns a salary. The BBL program is ideal for people who don't fancy going to school five days a week and who would like to gain a lot of practical experience. Looking for a work placement?
